Oncology Infrastructure and Cost-Effectiveness Analysis

Consulting on oncology needs, service planning and investment prioritisation at country and regional level

What we do

milliVolt supports governments, agencies, networks and private stakeholders with evidence-driven planning of oncology services. We combine clinical pathway understanding with health economic reasoning and real-world implementation constraints.

The focus is practical decisions that improve access and outcomes across the full pathway including diagnosis, systemic therapy, radiation therapy, surgery and palliative care.

Typical questions we answer

  • Where are the access gaps and what is the likely patient impact
  • Which investments are highest impact under budget and workforce constraints
  • Which delivery model fits geography and referral patterns
  • What is the cost-effectiveness of alternative infrastructure scenarios
  • How can implementation be phased with clear milestones and risks

What we deliver

  • Needs assessment and service mapping
  • Scenario design with CAPEX and OPEX estimates
  • Cost-effectiveness analysis when appropriate including sensitivity analysis
  • Implementation roadmap with dependencies, risks and governance options
  • Stakeholder-ready report and slide deck

How we work

We start with scope definition and data triage then build a short list of decision-relevant scenarios. Assumptions are explicit and traceable.

Workstreams can be delivered as a rapid assessment or as a deeper modelling project depending on needs, timelines and data availability.

CancerCompass

CancerCompass is milliVolt’s decision-support tool for oncology service planning.

It is designed to compare alternative models of cancer care — local provision, selective local provision and referral — using information on population needs, expected activity, workforce, infrastructure, geography and costs.

CancerCompass identifies the conditions under which different organisational options become more or less robust, highlights uncertainty and missing information, and produces a structured planning report.

CancerCompass is currently under development and validation.
