Decision support for oncology service planning
CancerCompass is designed to support decisions on how cancer treatment services should be organised within a territory.
It compares alternative models of local provision, selective local provision and referral for surgery, systemic anticancer treatment and radiotherapy.
The analysis combines information on population needs, expected activity, workforce, infrastructure, geography and costs. Where appropriate, publicly available information may be used to complement data supplied by the user.
The final report will explicitly identify assumptions, missing information, uncertainties and organisational constraints that may affect the conclusions.
